Cal Poly Pomona's Women in Science and Engineering Program (CPP WiSE) is part of the Cal Poly Pomona STEM Success Network. CPP WiSE seeks to recruit, retain and graduate women to advance gender equity in the STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). All who are interested in supporting students in working toward an inclusive and equitable community are welcome.
In collaboration with corporations, alumni, University offices, faculty and students, CPP WiSE offers a variety of activities, including WiSE Chats (student and faculty networking), WiSE Talk Alumni Speaker Series (career development workshops), and a variety of student leadership development experiences.
Last year, we started a mentoring program for undergraduate engineering students. Building on the success of that program in helping participants to increase their self-confidence, build a sense of belonging within the engineering community, and grow their network with engineering professionals, this year we are planning to expand the program to include science and agriculture as well!
Our mentoring program received an INSIGHT Into Diversity 2021 Inspiring Programs in STEM Award! Help us to build on this success.
We invite you to join with us as we continue our journey forward through our expanded mentoring program. Solid beginnings lead to future growth.
We thank all of our mentoring donors who will help us expand our mentoring program to provide skills for success.
Become a friend of our mentoring program. We appreciate all of our friends who help us create a supportive community.
Help us build our mentoring program to provide workshops for student professional development.
We invite you to partner with us in our mentoring program to help enhance self-confidence for women in science and engineering.
All of us thank those who provide leadership level gifts. Our WiSE students will become leaders of tomorrow. The WiSE mentoring program will give them a bright path forward.
