About Bronco Launchpad

Bronco Launchpad is Cal Poly Pomona’s official crowdfunding platform, empowering students, faculty and staff to raise funds for the programs and initiatives they care about most.

Cal Poly Pomona FAQ

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a way to bring people together — alumni, friends, family, and fans — to support a project or initiative by giving whatever they can. The goal is to raise a set amount of money within a limited time, using digital tools like email, social media and websites to spread the word and rally support.

Who can use Bronco Launchpad to fundraiser?

Current students, faculty and are invited to submit an application for their projects. You must have an existing CPP Philanthropic Foundation Fund or an ASI Donation Account to participate. Please visit our crowdfunding info page to learn more and fill out a Fundraising Interest Form so we can stay in touch for future opportunities to participate.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes! Gifts to the Cal Poly Pomona Philanthropic Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by IRS regulations in the calendar year the gift is made. Please consult your tax advisor for details. A gift receipt will be emailed to the address you provided at the time of your donation.

Note: If your gift includes a "perk", the cost of the perk will be deducted from the tax-deductible portion of the gift.

Who can I contact for help?

What is the difference between hiding my name/amount on the Donor Wall and making my donation anonymously?

Choosing to hide your name and/or gift amount on the donor wall only affects how your donation appears on the Bronco Launchpad Donor Wall. Your gift may still be recognized in other ways, such as in CPP Magazine or other university publications. To make your donation fully anonymous, select "Yes" when asked, "Do you prefer to make this donation anonymously?" You’ll also have the option to request that all future gifts to CPP be treated the same way. Please note: you must still select your Donor Wall preferences for each gift you make during Broncos Give or Bronco Launchpad.

What is the "Donor Wall"?

The Donor Wall displays a full list of the donations to the campaign, and it can be viewed by clicking the "Donor Wall" tab on the campaign page. Using the options found at the bottom of this donation page, each donor can customize the way their gift can be viewed on the site by hiding their name, the amount the gave, or both.

What is the difference between hiding my name on the Donor Wall and making my donation anonymously?

Hiding your name and/or the amount you gave on the donor wall only changes the way your gift is acknowledged on this campaign's page. Your donation may still be acknowledged through publications of CPP Magazine and any other methods of recognizing CPP's donors. If you wish to make your gift totally anonymous, answer "Yes" to the question "Do you prefer to make this donation anonymously?". This will also give you the opportunity to request that all donations you make to CPP in the future will be treated the same way. Please note, that you will also need to select your Donor Wall display preferences for each gift you make to Cal Poly Pomona Crowdfunding or Giving Day.
