For more than 80 years, the end of summer means a return to classes at Cal Poly Pomona. The beginning of the school year is special in part because each year brings changes and new opportunities. This year is no different. There are challenges and opportunities ahead, and we will face them together like we have always done.
Thanks to nearly 150 supporters, overcoming these challenges just got easier for our newest Broncos in need. Over 60 incoming students have obtained new laptops through the Bronco Bookstore.
Laura Diaz, a Sociology senior, says she is determined to complete her degree: "Computers are essential to take online classes during the pandemic. The financial assistance released a weight and burden that had stifled my progress, allowing me to focus on my education." Laura received scholarship funds to help her purchase a laptop, and this is the exact impact you have made on CPP students like her.
Cal Poly Pomona has become world renown for being an engine of social mobility, for giving our students a means to lift their economic status through education, innovation, and discovery.
Thank you to all our donors for your role in fulfilling that promise to our newest Broncos!
If you have yet to make a donation, there is still time to give. Students still need your support!
