Tribal Relations
Strengthen Partnerships with Local Tribes
Cal Poly Pomona is creating new opportunities for students to learn directly from and work alongside Local Tribes through curriculum development, research and educational programming. By collaborating with Tribal leaders and community members, students gain a deeper understanding of Indigenous knowledge, land stewardship and cultural traditions. These experiences not only enrich academic learning but also foster respect, connection and shared responsibility for the environment and community.
Your support helps us continue building these meaningful relationships. Donations fund honorariums for Tribal leaders who share their expertise through lectures and workshops, support the Native plant nursery at the Lyle Center that provides plants for Tribal restoration projects and campus use, and create hands-on learning opportunities on Native American topics. Together, we can honor Indigenous voices, expand student learning and strengthen partnerships that promote cultural understanding and environmental restoration.
