Womxn in the Wild
Providing womxn with opportunities in the natural resources and agriculture
Established in 2019, Womxn in the Wild is a transformative summer field experience that gives womxn hands-on opportunities in natural resources and agriculture.
Participants take part in real-world field projects, attend workshops on career and graduate school readiness, and build transferable skills in leadership, scientific communication, and research. From working on local projects across Southern California to collaborating with land stewardship organizations in Texas, participants gain the tools, confidence, and connections to become future leaders in science and conservation.
Your support helps make these opportunities possible. Donations fund participant and presenter stipends, as well as travel, lodging, and supplies for field experiences. With your help, students can focus fully on learning and professional growth without the burden of financial strain. Every contribution helps build a strong network of womxn who are passionate about natural resources, agriculture, and environmental stewardship. Together, we can open doors, close gender gaps, and prepare the next generation of scientists to lead with knowledge and purpose.

$10
Meal Sponsor
When traveling to partner sites, students will spend approximately $10 per meal. This will help offset the costs of one student meal when traveling.
$25
Workshop Sponsor
Participants will be provided three workshops where they will focus on developing resumes/CVs, science communication, and career/grad school readiness. This level provides support for one of these workshops.
$100
Equipment Sponsor
Working in the wild requires tools that assist participants in collecting data. This sponsorship will help provide enough equipment to ensure each participant will get hands-on experience.
$500
Mentor Sponsor
Unpaid labor is common in the natural resources, we want to ensure that our womxn mentors are compensated for the time and expertise provided to program participants. This level supports one mentor.
$1,000
Participant Sponsor
Unpaid or underpaid labor is far too common in the field of natural resources. Let's change that by compensating program participants who may be taking time away from other commitments to broaden their experience to be career-ready. This level provides a stipend to one participant.
$2,000
Travel Sponsor
Visiting out-of-state conservation organizations will be a key piece to the experience in the program and with that comes costs. This helps support one program participant in their travel (airfare, lodging, transportation) to our partner sites.
