Help Break Down Barriers to Wellness at Cal Poly Pomona

At ASICPP, our Campus Recreation team is committed to making health, wellness, and recreational opportunities accessible to all students at Cal Poly Pomona. While most of our facilities and services are offered at no additional cost, some high-impact programs require a small registration fee. These include personal and small group training, certification workshops, outdoor recreation trips, intramural sports, and SCUBA diving courses.

For some students, even a small fee can be a significant barrier. The Supporting Opportunities to Access Recreation (SOAR) Fund exists to remove that barrier.

About the SOAR Program
The SOAR Program provides financial support to students who would otherwise be unable to participate in Campus Recreation programs due to cost. By eliminating these financial obstacles, SOAR helps students engage in experiences that promote their physical, mental, and social well-being—enriching their overall student experience.

Your support helps ensure that every student, regardless of financial circumstances, can take full advantage of the health and wellness resources available at CPP.

How Your Donation Makes a Difference
Every contribution goes directly toward funding student participation in programs that foster personal growth, community, and wellness.
  • $5 funds an introductory workshop in Adventures, Aquatics, or Fitness
  • $10 gives a student their first Discover SCUBA Diving experience
  • $20 provides a student with an Intramural Access Pass for an entire academic term, entry to an Adventures climbing competition, or a weekend skills clinic
  • $88 covers an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification—helping students create safe aquatic environments
  • $90 supports three personal training sessions and a basic assessment for a student starting their fitness journey
  • $150 sends a student on a weekend outdoor adventure—hiking, climbing, or paddling for the first time
  • $200 supports a student to compete in a CPP Sport Club for the academic year. Helps cover uniforms, travel, registration, and club costs.
  • $400 fully funds a student’s Open Water SCUBA Diving certification, including all materials, gear, and dive trips
  • $455 funds a student’s participation in the Mammoth Mountain Spring Break Trip
Every dollar helps open the door for a student to engage, grow, and thrive. Your support helps Cal Poly Pomona students build lifelong wellness habits, explore new activities, and feel connected to their campus community. Together, we can make recreation more inclusive, equitable, and impactful.
