Our Five Strategic Goals to Connect, Elevate, and Engage
Goal #1: Building Trust and Community
CLASS will be a community that welcomes, includes, and inspires trust.
We're creating a working and living environment that centers belonging, transparency, access, and inclusion through clear and equitable processes, respectful communication, and recognition of contributions to our CLASS community.

Goal #2: Student Success 
CLASS will offer learning experiences that prepare all Cal Poly Pomona students for success in a changing world.
Through curricular and co-curricular programs, CLASS provides a polytechnic learning experience that fosters critical thinking, creativity, perspective-taking, information literacy, and problem-solving skills.

Goal #5: Resources and Sustainability
CLASS will strategically allocate, advocate for, and generate resources.
CLASS optimizes the allocation of existing resources while generating new and diversified sources of revenue to support the college's academic programs, research initiatives, and community engagement.

Recent Accomplishments
Here are just a few examples of what we've accomplished:
Building Community: Launched CLASS Four Fridays Initiative with 77 faculty attending, creating meaningful connections across departments
Student Success: Hosted Presidential and VP Debate watch parties, expanded student club support, and created new pathways for undergraduate research
Visibility: Launched "Hire a Musician Link" connecting student ensembles with community opportunities, generating both experience and revenue for students
Professional Development: Supported staff attendance at professional conferences including ACE Women's Network Southern California Conference and GIS technical training
Innovation: Piloted PR student internship program in Fall 2024, expanding to additional departments in Spring 2025
