At Cal Poly Pomona, we are proud to support our student veterans, service members, and their families as they pursue their educational goals. As a military-friendly campus, we strive to provide a welcoming and supportive environment, and one of the key resources we offer is the Veterans Resource Center (VRC). Since 2012, the VRC has served as a hub for guidance, support, and community for our military-affiliated students.
This year, we're bringing the VRC into the future with updated technology that helps our veterans and their families succeed in their academic journeys. And we need your help to make it happen!
What We’re Raising Funds For:
To keep pace with the evolving needs of our students, we’re aiming to initially raise $5,000 to enhance the tech resources available at the VRC. Your gift will help us provide essential tech upgrades and expansions, such as:
Why It Matters:
For many student veterans and their families, the transition from military to civilian life can be challenging. Technology plays a critical role in empowering them to stay on top of their academic work, access resources, and build a path toward their future. By modernizing the VRC, you’re not just giving our students tools; you’re giving them the power to thrive.
Join Us Today!
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us reach our goal and empower our veteran students to succeed. Let’s work together to create a resource center that meets their needs today—and sets them up for success tomorrow!

Purchases like a computer mouse, a monitor cable, or a surge protector may seem small, but they add up quickly! Your gift of $25 helps us stay on top of the essential technology odds and ends that our students use every day.
A gift of $50 could help us purchase noise cancelling headphones to loan to students at the center. Headphones can be helpful to focus while working on assignments when the center is bustling, but they are essential when attending online lectures or virtually working on group assignments.
A gift of $100 could purchase a new laptop docking station, allowing students to plug in while they work at the VRC. Docking stations allow students to charge their devices between classes, use larger monitors to work on assignments, and get access to VRC printers.
The most popular donation level! A gift of $250 goes a long way at the VRC, and could purchase a docking station, a mobile hotspot, headphones, and still have a bit left to cover more of the basics like cables and peripheral devices.
Our certifying office staff just doubled, well from 1 to 2, but that's a big deal! Show them some love by helping us upgrade their tech. It doesn't have to be fancy, but it does need to be mobile for resource fairs and flexible to walk students through their VA benefit options. A gift of $500 would make a huge difference in these upgrades.
Our students need the very best. So it would be great to offer loaner laptops that are powerful enough to run drafting software and AI tools, and mobile enough to use in the center, in the classroom, and at home. A gift of $1000 not only helps us make this a reality for students, but it sends a message that we are united behind them and personally invested in their success.
