Help Us Celebrate the Power of Arts & Humanities This October!

October is National Arts & Humanities Month (NAHM)

Join us in changing the narrative and elevate the arts by gifting to CLASS’s National Arts and Humanities Campaign. Your gift will go directly to support the modernization for both the University Theatre and Music Hall.

Launched over three decades ago by Americans for the Arts, NAHM has evolved from a week-long observance into a month-long celebration of our nation's rich cultural tapestry. This month, we honor the invaluable contributions of the National Endowment for the Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities, while pushing for a future where creativity knows no bounds.

CSU Summer Arts Program Comes to Cal Poly Pomona!

We're also thrilled to share that Cal Poly Pomona has been chosen as the new home for the prestigious CSU Summer Arts program for the 2025-2029 seasons! This program will bring a surge of creativity and artistic excellence to our community. This incredible opportunity aligns perfectly with our goal to foster creativity and make the arts accessible to all. Your support can help make this program a resounding success!

NAHM isn't just a celebration – it's a call to action. We're on a mission to:

  1. FOCUS on equitable access to the arts at every level – local, state, and national;
  2. ENCOURAGE passion for the arts in individuals, organizations, and diverse communities;
  3. IGNITE unwavering support from governments and businesses for creative endeavors; and
  4. RAISE awareness about the profound impact of arts and humanities on our daily lives and communities.

Arts Matter Now More Than Ever

In a world facing unprecedented challenges, the arts are not a luxury – they're a lifeline. They have the power to:

  • Promote individual well-being and mental health;
  • Address and heal collective trauma;
  • Bridge cultural divides and foster understanding;
  • Shine a spotlight on social inequities; and
  • Build stronger, more resilient communities.

Join the CLASS' National Arts & Humanities Month celebrations! We are hosting alumni panels, opening theatre productions, music concerts, and raising funds to upkeep our facilities. Here's a list of events:
