Dear Bronco Community,
We all have that one teacher whose influence extends far beyond the classroom, shaping our futures and instilling in us values that endure a lifetime. I will be honoring my fourth-grade teacher, Mrs. Robinson, whose dedication and passion inspired me to leave a positive impact on students as she did on me.
This National Teacher Appreciation Week, I invite you to honor your favorite teacher with a gift to Partners in Education (PIE). Your generous donation not only honors the exceptional teacher who has made a profound impact on your journey through life but also ensures that their legacy continues to inspire future generations of teachers. Your contribution to PIE will enable us to recognize and celebrate the dedication and passion of outstanding educators, empowering them to continue shaping the minds and hearts of our future leaders.
Together, let us honor the teachers who have made a difference and pay tribute to their unwavering commitment to excellence in education.
With gratitude,
Marlon Rojas, Jr. '16
PIE Board Member
5th Grade Teacher
Former PIE Fellow
The Partners in Education (PIE) a coalition of academic and community leaders. Each year, PIE provides fellowships of $5,000 to support future teachers enrolled in our teaching credential programs. Prior to completing the program, students are required to work full-time for one semester in a K-12 classroom under the supervision of a master teacher and attend evening classes at CPP.
Most of our students who work part-time or more to support themselves give up their work in order to complete their credential, which creates economic hardship. In response, PIE established its fellowship program to allow our students to focus on their supervised teaching assignments without worrying about how the bills will be paid.
Since its inception in 2005, over $1.6 million in much-needed financial support has been awarded to promising students as they complete their studies towards a career in education.
