California continues to face challenging and critical issues that impact students and communities, and our students have innovative solutions that need attention. In Spring 2023, the Bronco Advocates: Applied Advocacy and Policy Making course began thanks to a one-time grant. It empowered 15 students from diverse educational backgrounds to address California's pressing issues, such as housing affordability, career readiness, and Dreamer resources. The course embraces the learn-by-doing approach, empowering students to engage directly with legislators in Sacramento and present innovative solutions to critical challenges faced by communities.
The Campaign
We are raising $5,000 to empower at least 10 Cal Poly Pomona students from various majors to advocate on the pressing issues affecting themselves, their colleagues, and the community in California as part of the 'Bronco Advocates: Applied Advocacy and Policy Making' course in Spring 2024. Your generosity can cover the following expenses per student:
We thank you for your contribution in supporting our amazing and talented students. We encourage you to share our campaign with your friends and family to extend the reach of your impact
Your generous donation will provide coffee and snacks for students to ensure they are energized to advocate on California's issues.
Your generous donation will cover one nutritious meal for a student, ensuring they stay energized throughout the trip.
Help sponsor a CPP polo and padfolio, ensuring that students are equiped and confident when meeting with legislators.
Your generous donation will help supplement the cost of roundtrip airfare for a student to Sacrament, CA.
At this level, you can help cover the cost of one student's hotel stay, a significant expense that plays a crucial role in supporting the program.
Your donation will completely support one student by covering meals, professional attire, plus travel and lodging. Thank you for your generosity.
