Hermanas Unidas de CPP Chapter Charter

This organization was created in order to give Chicanx/Latinxs on campus an opportunity to find a home away from home, while providing academic and community resources and a family networking system through a basis of three pillars: academics, community service and collegiate networking. Thus, ensued the beginning of Hermanas Unidas. 

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona was established in 2005. 

What is "Poder de la Mujer"?

This is what every Hermanx strives to embody, as an individual womxn and an organization. This motto symbolizes the strength and will of each and every Hermanx in their quest for higher education, the empowerment of their families and communities, as well as equality in education, the workplace and the rest of society.

Our Chapter Vision Statement

Hermanas Unidas de CPP supports their members as they navigate through their journey in higher education by providing a broad range of resources and workshop opportunities to enrich their personal and educational careers as well as emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in all forms and acknowledging cultural diversity/identity, allowing members to feel safe, seen, valued and obtain a sense of belonging

Hermanas Unidas de CPP end of year scholarships

Our Hermanas Unidas end of the year scholarships allow us to award our members and stellar applicants for their amazing work and contributions to our organization by embodying what it means to be an Hermana. Each scholarship we give out is unique and covers every aspect of what it means to be part of Hermanas Unidas. During our application process, we ask our members to highlight ways in which they have made an impact in their community, have grown while being in this organization, and how receiving this specific scholarship will impact their own life. Over the past two years we've been able to give out two scholarships during our end of the year banquet, our goal is to be able to create THREE MORE SCHOLARSHIPS in order to recognize more individuals who have put in that work to not only better their community, but to be a better version of themselves.
