CECCHE Adelante Scholarships

Support Latinx students in their retention, persistence, and thriving at Cal Poly Pomona. Your donation to the CECCHE Adelante Scholarship will go a long way in the educational journey of our students. Contributions of any amount will have a HUGE impact on the lives of our Latinx students. 

While scholarships are the goal, your donations will also help support students during their time at CPP. Your donations will support the center’s food pantry, books and materials, and regalia for graduating seniors.

Another initiative we are looking to launch is an alternative spring break. They will develop soft skills associated with teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability. The impact they will have in this experience will not only be on the community they serve but also on them personally and professionally.

Why Scholarships are Important?

Providing scholarships is a good way to give back to students in need. It eliminates barriers to higher education and ensures those with the most need have the opportunity to thrive through degree attainment. Can make a huge difference when it comes to filling the affordability gap for low-income students. 

Many students usually work during their time in school to meet all their financial needs. This leads to less time to focus on their studies. If they do not work, another option is taking out loans. Latinx students have a higher rate of defaulting on loans. Scholarships directly reduce the number of student loans needed.

For many recipients, scholarships – all of which are funded by donors – can mean the difference between continuing their education or not.

Helps students from underrepresented backgrounds in affording college and eventually graduating to launch their careers.

Our students comprise the largest demographics at CPP, and we know these scholarships would garner hundreds of applicants.
