Who we are
We are the Cal Poly Pomona Timber Strong Design-Build Team, an undergraduate engineering and architectural student-led organization that works together to plan, design, fabricate and build an artistically creative 2-story wood light-framed building. Our goal is to make the building sustainable, aesthetically pleasing, and structurally durable, so that we may compete in one of the nation’s biggest regional conferences, the 2023-2024 ASCE Pacific Southwest Symposium (PSWS) held at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. This project is an opportunity for young prospective Engineers and Architects to learn about Wood Design, BIM Modeling, Structural Calculations, Wood Construction, and hands-on prefabrication techniques.
With the Pacific Southwest regional approaching, we need your support more than ever. We wish to establish a legacy for CPP Timber Strong Design-Build, and we have pride and confidence that we can reach great heights. If you would like to support us on this momentous journey, please consider pledging your support!!

Project Manager's Message
To our alumni, family, friends, and future donors,
My name is Daniel Ortega-Telles, this year’s project manager for Cal Poly Pomona Timber Strong Design-Build. On behalf of my team, I am here to reach out and ask for your support in funding our project.
I was part of the 2021-2022 Timber Strong team in which I was able to learn what the design build process looks like and make an impact in the outcome of our project. Now I am in the position of project manager and have made it my goal to make this a rewarding experience for all of its team members, while providing the necessary tools to win first place.
As students, it is challenging affording some of the expenses that come with this project, which is why we ask for your support and hope you see our team make an impact at the Pacific Southwest Symposium.
Sincerely,
Daniel Ortega-Telles
