Who Are We

The Cal Poly Pomona Steel Bridge Team consists of undergraduate engineering students who work together to plan, design, fabricate and construct a one-tenth model steel bridge. Throughout our journey, we have grown so much as engineers and competed in Regionals as an amazing team. We have placed 2nd and aim for 1st in nationals but need your help to do this!

With nationals approaching we need your support more than ever. We want to leave a legacy for CPP Steel Bridge and we have pride and confidence that we can reach great heights but are in dire need of funding. If you would like to support us on this momentous journey, please consider pledging your support!

We Need Your Help!

The Cal Poly Pomona Steel Bridge Team is going to nationals!! This is the beginning of a legacy that our team wants for the California Polytechnic State University of Pomona. We have worked countless hours to make this bridge a winning bridge and we need your help to make it a reality. In order for us to aim high for nationals, we need funding to make it possible. Attached below are the costs that need to be covered in order for us to aim for great heights. Every dollar matters and spreading the word to friends, family, professors, companies, and organizations would mean so much to us! Project Manager's Message

To our alumni, family, friends, and future donors,

My name is Emelisa Vasquez, this year’s project manager for Cal Poly Pomona Steel Bridge. I am here to reach out and ask for your support in going to nationals.

Throughout the year my team has worked many hours on design, fabrication, and construction to make our bridge a winning bridge. All of this could not have been achieved if not for our donors! We have received so much support throughout the year and we are almost at the finish line. My team is confident, proud, and willing to make this bridge win at all costs but we need your support to make it a reality.

With everything being in-person it has resulted in many costs that we cannot afford. The travel for our construction team for many members is not affordable and transporting the bridge costs thousands of dollars. All of these expenses we want to afford but as students, it is almost impossible. If we are able to gain funding for these modifications and the transportation fees of our members and bridge we can make winning nationals a reality. All we ask is if you are able to donate please make that donation. Every dollar counts and if you are not able to donate please spread the word!

My team has worked so hard and all we ask is for the opportunity to show our worth! We placed 2nd in regionals but that is due to time constraints with lab access. Our bridge is a winning design and our team is a winning construction team. Please if you are able to support us on this momentous journey press donate today.
