As one of only two polytechnic universities in the CSU and one of eleven in the United States, California State Polytechnic University (Cal Poly Pomona) offers a unique education steeped in experiential learning.
Home to over 30,000 students, Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) is the nation’s most diverse and inclusive polytechnic university. CPP reaches beyond the textbook to provide knowledge through hands-on experiences and prepares students to think critically, solve problems dynamically, communicate effectively, work collaboratively and lead. CPP provides students a challenging and enriching education to prepare them to be ready for the world on Day One; however, there is still a very low percentage of female and underrepresented students studying STEM and graduating on time.
STEM Success Scholarships are intended for the top tier students within the local community. These scholarships will not only help us attract exceptional talent to raise the profile of Cal Poly Pomona but will also ensure that they will be thriving when on campus.

The Basic Needs Initiative at Cal Poly Pomona estimates that students spend about $9 per day on groceries. A gift of $125 would help one STEM Success Scholar pay for about two weeks of meals and other necessities.
Help us start the first year of the STEM Success Scholarship strong with a gift of $365.
One purpose of this scholarship is to help STEM Success Scholars minimize the time they spend at part time jobs so they can maximize the time they spend focusing on their studies. $750 is the equivalent of nearly 70 hours of minimum wage work.
The estimated annual room and board cost for an undergraduate at Cal Poly Pomona is $16,742. A gift at this level would provide a little over a full month of room and board for a STEM Success Scholar.
Undergraduate Tuition at Cal Poly Pomona is about $7,396 per year. So a gift at this level would almost completely fund a STEM Success Scholar's tuition expenses for a full semester.
