The gift that is given (modest or lofty) says so much about your compassion . . . it sends an inspiring message to our students that you care. Thank you!
Established in 1982, Maximizing Engineering Potential (MEP) aspires to be a premier center of excellence for preparing diverse communities of students for academic, professional, and leadership opportunities in a global society. While serving all students MEP continues to recruit and prepare historically under-represented minority, women, low-income, first-generation students for the engineering workforce. MEP collaborates with engineering industry, federal/state agencies, cultural affinity societies: American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES); National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE); Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE); and Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
Request for Support. With over 80% of students receiving need-based aid—an average financial package of $10,663—MEP seeks support to help students defray tuition costs, textbooks, meals, school supplies. Funds will be used to provide Bronco Bucks (money deposited into the student’s ID card) and stipends (money provided to students in recognition of academic progress and merit). We hope to provide up to 200 students with support.
