24/7 digital access to library resources is critical to student success, and the Virtual Library Fund focuses on two essential enablers for access: Wi-Fi hotspots and e-books. By donating to the fund, your gift will quickly impact CPP student and faculty access to the library.
In March 2020, the library launched a technology lending program. In partnership with Student Success and I&IT, we have loaned out hundreds of laptops and Wi-Fi hotspots each semester. However, we have a waiting list for Wi-Fi hotspots as students struggle with reliable internet access. Every hotspot purchased through the Virtual Library Fund will immediately go to a student to ensure they can attend virtual classes and complete assignments.
In addition to supportive and knowledgeable library faculty and staff, the strength of a 21st century library lies in the breadth and depth of its collection of e-books and e-journals. CPP subject librarians have identified e-resources that are in demand from faculty and students. The Virtual Library Fund will increase the number of e-books and e-journals available to students and faculty and ensure that the library provides the most current and broadest range of sources for research.
We are seeking your support to help ensure that the Virtual Library can support every Cal Poly Pomona student in reaching their educational goals.
Thank you for your gift!
All donations are tax deductible. Funds are managed by Cal Poly Pomona Philanthropic Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit organization (Federal ID 83-2300241).
